Here's a breakdown of what the right ratio for your build would be:
Wranglers
- 35s - 4.56
- 37&38s - 4.88/5.13 (more oomph, less mpg)
- 40s - 5.13/5.38 - Be aware that the pinion gear (the small one) is VERY small in the 5.38 form and is singnificantly weaker than the 5.13. If you DAILY and DO NOT WHEEL, the 5.38 would be ok, otherwise we would play it safe and go with the 5.13
Gladiators
- 35s - 4.88
- 37s-40s - 5.13 - We do not recommend 5.38s in gladiators at all due to their weight and the pinion gear being small and would not be warrantied at all.
